Werner paddles are build to make the best paddling experience with light, durable and comfortable paddles for recreational and touring paddlers. The paddles are offered in straight shaft and bent shaft, as well as regular and small shaft options. These different shaft sizes and dimensions for different paddlers hands and reducing potential injuries.
Paddle length options are available depending on the width of the boat and paddler arm length. Most touring paddlers will require a paddle of 215cm to 230cm long, with the shorter paddle lengths available for high angle paddlers.
High angle paddles have a wider paddle blade as compared to low angle paddles being narrower and longer. These paddle blades are designed to scoop the water in the best way according to the angle of attack of the paddle stoke into the water. These shapes will reduce paddle wobble and waffling in the paddle stroke, giving the paddler strong smooth efficient strokes. High angle paddling is common in white water and coastal paddling where power and course correction of the kayak. Low angle paddling is common for recreational and touring where consistent cadence of stroke for many hours is required.
