Stand up Paddleboards require flat cradles and carriers to secure hard boards or inflated stand up paddle boards. It is the most secure way to attach a paddle board to the roof top carrier with proper foam or cradle system. This way of transporting the paddle boards in a roof top carrier will reduce any potential for damage during transport as well as increase security and stability of the board during transport. Roof top stand up paddle carriers are required for transporting paddle boards at highway speeds.
There is a range of prices for the stand up paddle board carriers and most are cross compatible with all roof top tower and cross bar systems. Foam blocks on an after market cross bar and tower systems is significantly safer and more secure than simply strapping the board to the roof or hanging it out of the back of a vehicle.
