Pigments and Powders can be added to Polyester resin, Gel Coat, epoxy and polyurethane coatings to make effects, colours and repairs.
The liquid pigments are generally added to Polyester Resin and Neutral (unpigmented) Gel Coat at a ratio or 5-8% v/v to tint the gel coat for colour matching or new tinting. The pigment(s) are mixed together and checked against the original colour before adding them to the neural gel coat. Mix more pigment than you require and store it in the case of needing more gel coat than anticipated or for repairs at a later date.
