Vinylester Resin is a corrosion resistant resin that can used with fiberglass cloths to make corrosion resistant surfaces. This resin is commonly used in the manufacturing and repair of hot tubs, pools, water tanks, chemical tanks, sump trucks and tanks, and hydrovac truck and tanks. This product can also be used for boats and all regular fiberglassing, but it will be stronger than general purpose polyester resin and iso resin.
This resin can be understood as a middle ground between a polyester resin and an epoxy resin, where vinylester has a faster cure time than epoxy but has similar strength to epoxy.
Vinylester Resin requires MEKP catalyst to cure. Depending on the ratio of catalyst to resin, the cure time will be affected and the saturation of the cloths.
