Always use the correct tool for your application, spreading tools are used for fiberglassing, putties and pastes. Ribbed aluminum rollers are used for fiberglassing with chopped strand mat and thicker cloths so press the resin through the thicker cloths.
Syringes and caulking tubes are most useful when laminating and filling edges and flanges. Applying epoxy in specific areas will reduce sanding and reduce waste.
