Gel Coat is a top coat that can be applied over fiberglass for a UV stable and durable surface. Gel Coat requires MEKP catalyst to cure. Gel coat can be brush applied or HVLP spray applied with styrene resin thinner. Unwaxed gel coats require MEKP catalyst and Air dry chemicals to fully cure. Unwaxed gel coats can be applied in multiple layers without sanding, waxed gel coats require sanding and acetone wipe between each layer. 

Gel coats can be clear or tinted to provide a hard surface. Gel coats and tooling gel coats which are used in the mold making and in mold coatings. Tooling gel coats are ISO resin based which makes super hard smooth surfaces that make perfect surfaces in mold, which leads to super smooth products. 

Tint and pigments can be added to neutral gel coat to colour match gel coat for products or repairs. Pigments can be added at a maximum of 5-8% v/v to neutral gel coat. Adding too much pigment will result in soft gel coat surfaces or non curing gel coat.
