Marine paints are divided into above the waterline and below the waterline paints.
The below the waterline paint can be submerged under water permanently but will release particles to stop barnacle or algae growth on the hull. Above the waterline paints are generally semi gloss polyurethanes that can be used for painting trailers, campers, quads or snowmobiles, kayaks, canoes or outdoor surfaces.
