Partall Paste #2 (Release Wax) is a general purpose polishing compound made from a blend of hydrocarbon and microcrystalline waxes that is designed for use with thermoset molding resins at ambient temperature when making fibreglass, cast polymer, or composite parts. It is particularly recommended for use on molds where standard silicone waxes hinder post-finishing operations or as a primer coat to create a smooth mold surface prior to application of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) based coatings. Partall Paste #2 may also be employed as an inexpensive edge on larger molds and may be used to seal rough wood molds or plugs for casting composites, cement, and grouts
