S-glass fibreglass is a high strength, stiff alternative to standard E-glass fibreglass. Even though they look and feel similar, S-glass is more expensive. It is an excellent choice for laminates that need higher strength and stiffness.
S-glass is a high strength glass fabric consisting of 40% tensile strength and 20% higher modulus. It has excellent abrasion resistance when used as a composite reinforcement material. It is compatible with resin, vinylester, epoxy resins. S-glass is often used for polymer matrix composites that require enhanced mechanical properties.
